Mission

Welcome on fariytalenight.com!

My name is Patrick and I am excited to present fairytalenight.com to you. Ever since I was a child I had a love for fairytales and folktales, well actually all kinds of stories. Some stories give me goose-bumps, some make my heart jump or raise my spirits.

Fairytales are a childhood memory for me. I still remember my parents reading bedtime stories to me every night. So much did I love them that some of them, they had to read again and again. Back then the stories of Brothers Grimm or Hans Christian Andersen where my companions. Only later I discovered that oral traditions such as folk- and fairytales have been popular in every country on every continent and every culture has added their unique identity to their tales.

Nowadays we  are faced with such an abundance of content on TV, the internet and social media that we don’t know where to turn. The idea of fairytalenight.com is handpick beautiful, traditional fairytales or folktales from all around the world and promote them. As Albert Einstein once said: “If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.”
